Privacy Policy
Posh Pup Grooming LLC ("Posh Pup," "we," "us") is a small, local grooming studio. We collect only what we need to care for your dog and run the shop, and we never sell your information. This policy explains what we collect through our services and poshpupgroom.com, and how we use it.
01What we collect
Information you give us when you call, text, email, or visit:
- Your name, phone number, email address, and an emergency contact
- Your dog's name, breed, age, weight, health and vaccination information, behavior notes, and veterinarian's contact details
- Appointment history, grooming notes, and payment records
- Messages you send us, including photos
Information collected automatically when you visit our website:
- Device and browser type, pages viewed, time on site, approximate location (city level), and how you found us
- Whether you tapped a call or contact link, so we know which ads and pages bring in clients
This is gathered through cookies and similar tools from Google Analytics and Google Ads, and, if enabled in the future, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel.
02How we use it
- To schedule appointments, send pickup texts and reminders, and contact you about your dog
- To groom your dog safely, keeping track of health, coat, and behavior notes between visits
- To reach your vet or emergency contact if your dog needs urgent care
- To process payments and keep business records
- To understand how our website is used and measure whether our advertising works
- To meet legal obligations
03Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the business, such as our phone and messaging provider, payment processor, and website analytics and advertising tools (Google, and Meta if enabled). They may only use it to provide those services.
- With your veterinarian, if needed for your dog's health or in an emergency.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety of people or animals.
04Cookies, analytics & ads
Google Analytics helps us see how visitors use the site. Google Ads (and the Meta Pixel, if enabled) helps us measure ad results and may be used to show our ads to people who have visited our site. These companies may collect information about your activity across other websites. You can:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on
- Manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings and Facebook Ad Preferences
Do Not Track. Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no common industry standard for them. The opt-outs above remain available.
05Text messages
When you give us your phone number, we'll text you about appointments and pickup. We don't send marketing texts without your permission. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help, though we may still need to call you about a dog in our care. Message and data rates may apply.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
06Photos of your dog
We may share photos or videos of your dog on our website and social media. We don't include your name or contact information without permission. If you'd rather your dog not appear, let us know and we'll remove posted photos where we can.
07How long we keep it
We keep client and dog records while you're an active client and for a reasonable period afterward so we have grooming history if you return, and as needed for tax and legal records. Website analytics data is retained according to Google's standard settings. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we're legally required to keep.
08Your choices & California rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us below. We won't treat you differently for making a request. California residents may also request information about how we've shared personal information with third parties for direct marketing — we don't share it for that purpose.
09Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting who can access client records. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
